Live-music venues worth the trip in Sumter, South Carolina

Sumter Opera House is a historic 550-seat theater on North Main Street in Sumter, and its own site says “For 130 years, the Sumter Opera House has been a beacon of culture, hosting unforgettable live performances and serving as a hub for civic life.” Its Main Stage is closed for a renovation, and in the meantime it presents its Acoustic Cafe concert series in the City Centre.

Sumter Original Brewery is a craft brewery on South Main Street in downtown Sumter, and its own site says its third floor “features a spacious rooftop area” where guests “can enjoy live music and the aroma of fresh burgers sizzling on the grill”.
