Live-music venues worth the trip in Lakewood, Ohio

Lakewood’s bowling alley turned venue, an establishment its own page dates to 1924 and calls an institution to eat, drink, dance, bowl and see live music, with the 800-capacity Roxy named for the 1920s and 30s dance hall that once filled that room.

A Lakewood tavern with a separate ticketed show room, whose FAQ says the tavern is always free to enter even during shows, most shows are all ages, and seating in the venue is limited and first come, first served.
