Live-music venues worth the trip in Opelika, Alabama

The Jailhouse is the 19-and-over bar and stage at the back of Rock ‘N Roll Pinball on South Railroad Avenue in Opelika, and its own site says, “Catch live music every weekend in the Jailhouse!” It also hosts an open mic on Thursday nights.

The Sound Wall is an Opelika recording studio set in an old house downtown, and for its Live! at the Wall series its own site says “The Sound Wall Recording Studio is transformed into an intimate concert venue”; it also hosts “weekend jazz residencies” throughout the year.
