Guitar shops worth the trip in Bangor

Knapp’s Music Center has served Maine from downtown Bangor since 1952. The store stocks a full line of new and used guitars, banjos and mandolins alongside amps and other instruments, and it buys, trades, consigns and appraises gear. Northern Kingdom Music calls itself Bangor’s largest independently owned musical instrument and equipment store. The shop carries guitars, amps and gear from major brands and keeps staff service technicians on hand for repairs. It operates Monday through Saturday from a storefront on Harlow Street.
