E. M. Shorts Guitars is the guitar arm of Wichita Band Instrument Company, a Douglas Avenue institution founded in 1952, with the guitar operation dating to 1974. It is an authorized dealer for Fender, PRS, Larrivee, Guild, and Gretsch, and Larrivee lists it as a destination dealer. New high-end guitars sit alongside vintage stock and an in-house repair shop.
