Richard Savage moved the whole operation down from Bohemia, New York in November 2024, and the resulting 2,500-square-foot gallery represents more than 140 luthiers and bills itself as the largest classical guitar dealer in the world. It is nylon-string exclusively — singular for that player, and of no use whatsoever to anyone else. Appointment only, and St. Cloud is a real drive south of Orlando proper.

Kip Elder has spent two decades specializing in vintage-correct nitrocellulose finishing, and Walt Grace Vintage down in Miami carries his builds, which is a reasonable proxy for the standard. Treat it as a working atelier rather than a browse-in floor: call ahead even during posted hours. Turning up unannounced at a Forsyth Road suite is a good way to lose an afternoon.
